We celebrate autumn with scarecrows . . .
We had a beautiful day of sunshine and great fun for our 2025 D.D. Collins House Autumn Scarecrow Extravaganza.
Rev-up your drills, ready your ropes, let the assemblies begin! . . .
Some of the scarecrows have to be assembled on site.
Note: The scarecrow in neon orange is keeping the public safe during the process.

This outfit is just perfect, light and airy with flowers the colors of autumn ....
She did not lose her head afterall ....
Got to be placed just right ....
Drills whirring, workers humming...
Meanwhile, a few feet away . . . .

So close… getting there. In the meantime ... Chrissy ponders, "Are you sure this is the correct drill bit?"

Wait a minute. Chrissy is not a scarecrow....
If I can stretch just a bit more I can start pounding. Almost there ....

Mary Sue finds Calvin to be quite engaging as well....
Calvin the scarecrow returned this year and as guests soon learned, he's quite the conversationalist....

Unless you add hot spiced cider. Now it’s fall!
Nothing like fresh donut holes to sweeten a morning setting up scarecrows.
