October ~ 2025
There be scarecrows a plenty at the D.D. Collins House . . .
The workers came on that sunny October day. When they left, some chose to stay .........

This junior lifeguard is at the ready,
beware to all, don't get caught in a moonlit eddy . . .
He's known as Kraken by some,
(i.e. Sea Monster), he's a bit of a conundrum!

Continue the scarecrow spectacle, if you have nerves of steel . . .

Come to see me, if you dare,
beware to all of my scary stare ~
Gorgon is my name, it's true,
I may turn you into a stone statue!

Looks like I'm sleeping, but I am not!
Twas up all night so my eyes are a bit bloodshot.

Zelena Rose is back again,
and she brought with her a brand-new friend~
Looks like Hazel is having a great time,
she's decked out in autumn colors as her name implies.

Mr. Pumpkinhead returned with his scary grin,
Looks like he startled Jack, his pumpkin farmer friend!

Gorgon looks on with a charming glee,
No need to be afraid of little ole me!

Calvin is hanging around again this year,
but look carefully should you dare to pass near . . .
If he has a hat upon his head,
he's traveling incognito as Ralph, so lightly tread!

Hazel is happy as can be,
Uh oh! Looks like her hair has gone to seed!

This group is quite a bunch,
lolligaggin' upon our front porch . . .
Don't be deceived by the one trying to hide behind the post,
Silas is known for telling spooky tales about ghosts.

Ghosts are here and ghosts are there,
but not one hides in Hazel's hair.

They are all pretty proud of themselves,
for celebrating autumn and not doing mean stuff
like that elf on a shelf.

Let's not forget our sentry, good Ole Igor . . .
Oh my word, what could he be digging for?

Thank you one and thank you all, for making the Autumn Scarecrow Extravaganza of 2025 such a ball.

What a great success. I'm not so scared, are you?

Not exactly, except for that guy by the wheelbarrow .....
