Today we share information in a 3-part series about the ownership of the Collins House.   We begin in 1845, the house’s year of construction to the late 1800s.

We appreciate the hours of research that was done by Paul Welch, including the  time he spent at the Maps and Plats Office photo copying information.  Eventually his research also included old newspapers and ultimately old City Directories to trace and verify the ownership.  If your family has any information that can be included let us know.  The more we learn, the more we can appreciate our heritage.
