Although the City funded its move and final restoration, over the years the HPC has applied for and been awarded several grants, including county, state and federal, to help with the restoration of the house. In addition, many private donations have been received, all of which have enabled the preservation of the museum house as well as the acquisition of period appropriate furnishings.

As the Friends of the D.D. Collins House continues to acquire period appropriate smalls for decorating the house, please consider donating period appropriate antiques for display at the house.  

As our collection of antiques grows, we will be changing and rearranging things to go with the seasons, which will allow us to showcase cherished collectibles.

The Friends of the D.D. Collins House will also begin a "Wish List" of smalls that we are searching for to display in the house.  Small antiques that would have been used in the home in the mid-1800s.  As we develop our "Wish List," we will post our wants and needs on this page, and perhaps you will have the item to contribute to the collection or know where said item can be obtained.
