The Congressman Pays a Visit

Thought you might enjoy seeing photos of the Congressman and his family. They recently visited the D.D. Collins House. We appreciate the time they spent at the house and the interest they showed in some of the stories that this museum house is beginning to tell.

The historic D.D. Collins House was recently visited by Congressman John Shimkus and his family. The Congressman was responsible for procuring the HUD Grant for the Collins House several years ago.

We are excited that he and his family were able to visit and see the restoration work that was completed on this historic museum house. They loved hearing the stories about select furniture pieces that have been donated and acquired for the house.
