Extra! Extra! Read All . . . Part 4

. . . about it!

Everywhere you look in the bedroom, there are toys, toys, toys - from stacking blocks to books, and toy horses to dolls.

From the 1930s . . . let's cook!

Here's another view of the toy stove. Surely many children played "make believe" and cooked along side their mothers. Makes you want to start some holiday baking and cooking, doesn't it?

An applesauce ornament and cinnamon ornament hand-made by one of the preschoolers from an earlier visit not long ago brings this snowman to life and offers all the fragrance of Christmas.

They made angels, too.

Some may recall making paper link garland chains. These were also made by the preschoolers who visited not long ago. A perfect setting of children's dreams of toys and cookies, and simpler things . . .

Dolls and canoes and pick up sticks . . . a close-up view awaits St. Nick.

A child's rocker from long ago . . . Can hear it creaking on the floor?

No time like the present to catch up on the holiday ironing . . .

An antique folk art angel watches over all of the toys, as children await their Christmas joy!
